Despite Subway Surfers' viral popularity — and status as the official mobile game of TikTok Family Guy clips — some things are better left to the very small screens.
Since late January, two teenage boys have died while recreating the viral video game on BART trains throughout the San Francisco area.
The teen who filmed this video was found dead on BART Train Tracks on Sunday after reportedly falling and getting ran over by the train while he was train surfing.

On January 29 and February 11, respectively, the boys both died after falling off of moving trains near the Balboa Park BART station in Northern California.
Though the accidents themselves were not documented — a fact that’s probably for the best considering how gruesome these kinds of deaths can be — one of the boys had gone viral weeks earlier after uploading a video of the sweeping views from the train car.
“Bartactivities,” he captioned the clip, which was quickly picked up by San Franscisco-centric Twitter account, @YayAreaNews.
Considering this viral fame, several local officials have spoken out, urging young people to stay safe as they seek online popularity.
“A truly great TikTok is not worth your life,” said San Francisco Board Of Supervisors member Rafael Mandelman, per NBC Bay Area.
So as tempting as it may be to hitch a ride with a view, it’s never worth it: After all, you can’t go viral if you’re dead.
